What happens in your mind when things are going well in your life? What about when things aren’t going so well? How about when things are going well, but then something bad happens? How long do these periods of good or bad last? These seasons, if you will. Do they last a couple of days? A week or two? Maybe a few months? Take a moment to think about these seasons in your life, both good and bad, and consider how long they have lasted. Did any of them last forty days?
